Early morning starts are required to ambush the Deer as they return to the forest after feeding on the open flats at night.
As the day warms up, we take a position on prominent hilltops to glass areas, which may locate a rutting Stag.
After having lunch, we reposition ourselves and wait for the Deer to return to the open flats before dark. It is pretty standard to hear many Stags roaring from our vantage position and quite possible to see hundreds of Deer at once.
The deer are processed locally, and nothing is wasted.
